KOOL KIDS GO WILD

The Kool Kids club in Graig y Rhacca  organised a trip to West Midlands Safari Park in September.

Four coaches packed with excited residents left Graig y Rhacca early in the morning en route  to the Safari Park.

All enjoyed the animals and sights around the park and there was plenty of thrills to be had on the rides.

More excitement on the way home when one the coaches caught fire on the motorway and we were escorted to the local service station in a police vehicle!!

It was certainly day to remember in more ways than one.

Graig y Rhacca Kool Kids are Kool

The Kool Kids club is an after school club that has been set up by volunteers Sharon Griffiths and Tracy Horwood .

The club runs on Tuesdays from 4 till 5pm in the Resource Centre  and it offers children aged 7 to 11 years and on a Thursday  12 to 16 years old a quiet place to do their homework with access to a PC.

Organisers Sharon and Tracey said “The club is really well attended and has given the Kids a chance to work together on their homework and other projects”

The Kool Kids club also organise educational trips and projects thanks to funding from the Communities First Trust Fund.
